Tax Deductibility Questions answered:
|
Nearly all guest that I have taken on my Leadership on Ice Expeditions have been able to claim a significant proportion of their expenses toward this expedition. I am not a tax advisor however I get advice from the best and recommend you do the same.
I recently interviewed Warren Black of 21st Century Accounting and I asked him the question can our guests claim all or some of their expenses toward this Leadership on Ice Antarctica 2011 Expedition? Here is what he said. (Please note the volume on this interview is a bit low so you might need to turn your volume up for this one) |
I recommend you talk to your accountant to get advice that is specific to your particular circumstances. If you would like to have an obligation free consultation then please send me an email on this link and I will put you in touch with Warren and his team.

The reason we fly to Argentina to go to Antarctica is because it has the closest access to the ice. It is only 600 N Miles from Cape Horn down to the South Shetland Islands.

During the time that we are there we slowly work our way down the peninsula from protected anchorage to protected anchorage.
Includes:
Itinerary varies depending on weather. However trip will include all activities, ice climbing, kayaking, camping on the ice and all required technical gear.
Highlights include:
Landscape view the ice berg with their blue colours. The older the ice the more the blue it looks because it traps more oxygen in its ice which in turn is reflecting the colour blue. Spectacular sunsets.

Curverville Island: Visit one of the largest Gentoo Penguin rookeries in the Antarctic. Ice climb at Enterprise Island and experience the spectacular surroundings at this heightened superior view point.

Neko and Paradise Harbours: Kayak amongst the ice bergs and have close up personal experience with whales, Humpback, Minkies and maybe Orkas.

Neumeyer Channel: Trek up on to the islands roped up for safety. Make camp by tent if by digging your own snow cave if you choose.

Wake up to the amazing sound of migrating whales as you camp overlooking this magnificent channel.

Ice Climbing: Many people say that they never thought they could have done it. Once they have done it they just want more and more and will never doubt their own greatness again.

We have monthly conference calls from 6 months prior to departure with all those enrolled in the expedition. This way you can dial into a local number and see looking at photos and profile of other expeditioners you can network and learn from others from day one.
The journey has started now. As you read, listen and see what experiences others have had and how their lives have benefited you begin to imagine yourself in their shoes having had such a phenomenal experience.
The monthly conference calls starting from 6 months out from departure are great because you will find that your fellow guest are like minded. These sorts of experiences attractive people who are:
- Looking for a real adventure in a last frontier
- They are open to learning and growing and sharing their knowledge
- They are prepared to take on activities that they know will take them out of their comfort zone
- They know that they have greatest inside them that is just waiting for the opportunity to come out and let the light shine.
I have been taking people to Antarctica for years and I swear i have never had a person come back that has not said that this experience has changed their life forever in a way they could not comprehend before they left.
Antarctica, the place alone is just incredible, A continent the size of Australia plus America put together with an average ice cover of 2 miles. Wow!
When you combine this with personal development with like minded people who all know each others name because you have been emailing, skyping, blogging, chatting, for 6 months you now have a formula for creating an experience that will change lives for good for ever.
